“I Scream Social” Group: Ages 2-4

The foundation of our social skills group program is to ‘celebrate’ and ‘meet and greet’ each individual child at their own unique social and developmental level. Interventions are play based and focus on regulation, shared attention, social collaboration, flexibility, and pragmatic social language skills (inviting, requesting, negotiation and problem-solving).

"Socially in Sync": Ages 4-6

This group is led by an Occupational Therapist and Social Worker and focuses on supporting the child's individual sensory, motor, and emotional profile while facilitating and modeling moment to moment social interactions between peers. By creating a sensory rich social environment we are able to promote engagement, shared attention, social thinking, empathy and emotional regulation.

“You Can Be Anyone You Want To Be! Superheroes And Villains”
Boys Group Ages 5-6

This boys group, led by a Developmental Therapist and Social Worker, meets for 1.5 hours once per week to work on pretend play and sequencing skills. We will be making costumes, developing story lines, and making short films. Boys will be encouraged to problem-solve and be aggressive through play so they can find ways to appropriately express their emotions and learn to play with peers successfully. At the end of each eight-week session we will have a film screening party with parents and siblings!

Groups will be limited to 3-4 participants and members will be carefully selected so children are matched appropriately with peers. Parents will be provided with feedback every week through email. Parent conferences will be held during week 4 to review progress and goals.

“You Can Be Anyone You Want To Be! Drama Queens, Fancy Nancy's, And Princess Warriors”

Groups will be limited to 3-4 participants and groups will be carefully selected so children are matched appropriately with peers. Parents will be provided with feedback every week through email. Parent conferences will be held during week 4 to review progress and goals.

“Function Junction”: Executive Functioning
Ages 8-11

Every day, we are called on to self-regulate our behavior. Executive functioning describes those mental tasks that allow us to think, act and solve problems such as planning, setting goals, organizing and paying attention to important details. Our program assists children in developing strategies that motivate them to achieve independence and self-confidence in school, home and the community. By incorporating fun and interactive activities, our groups also promote fundamental social skills.
